My name is April.

My experience:
I have been riding horses for 37 years, showing & training 35 years, giving riding lessons for 25 years and boarding horses for 23 years..

Success Story:
Two girls I have given lessons to from beginner riders all the way through advanced riders and competition, have qualified, competed and placed nationally in barrel racing and pole bending.

Justin, Ariat, Double H, Dan Post, American West, Roper, Laredo & Smoky Mountain are in stock cowboy boots & work boots. Cowboy hats, belts, caps, wallets, Montana & Justin jewelry, and western home decorations, gifts & toys round out your shopping experience.



Coyote Creek Stables Inc, the best horseback riding facility in central Illinois, provides a wide variety of horse entertainment. Full, partial & overnight horse boarding is available. Horseback riding lessons, guided trail rides, horse day camps, girl scout and boy scout horse badges, field trips, community college non credit horse classes, ranch sorting practices & shows, Extreme Cowboy Races, obstacle course practice, barrel racing & pole bending practices & jackpots & fun horse shows are a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

Coyote Creek is located in east central Illinois, just ten minutes from I 57 & I 70, Effingham & Mattoon IL.

We have had great weather this summer for all of our horseback riding activites. Lots of guided trail rides, maybe the most ever!

I am so excited that we have been getting rain, everythings is nice and green, it looks like spring. I have been ensured a second cutting of hay compliments of the rain!

The ranch sorting practices and shows have been great so far this year. Many riders travel 4 hours round trip to participate here at Coyote Creek Stables inc.

Riding lessons students will be enjoying not only lessons but also have the opportunity to ride in parades, trail rides, horse shows, obstacle courses, sorting calves and the annual overnight campout and trail ride this summer.

Enjoy 10 miles of trails at Coyote Creek! Boarders can enjoy these trails daily. Don't have a horse? We offer guided trail rides on our wonderful, happy, well trained Quarter Horses, Paints & Arabians. From easy, relaxing beginner trails to more advanced, challenging narrow trails, with lots of creek crossings and hills, we have it all! Lots of trail riding photos to the left.

Come ride in the indoor or outdoor arenas on your own horse! Enjoy no wind, no mud, use of barrels, poles, flags, obstacles and jumps. Call to rsvp.
